Wireless modules do what it says on the tinA recent survey of Easy-Radio wireless module customers showed that 87% found them very easy to install and 83% found them just as easy to configureEasy-Radio is a range of ready-to-run wireless modules with all the software users will need for one- or two-way short- to medium-range applications. 'We believe that more than 50% of potential wireless products fail as designers underestimate the complexities of RF design or the programming required to ensure reliable communications', says Barry Gillibrand, MD of LPRS. 'The apparent low cost of wireless chips soon escalates as the additional hardware, test equipment and approvals get factored in and expensive design time is consumed'. LPRS has a long track record in providing 'out-of-the-box' wireless solutions to a wide variety of applications. In order to substantiate its claims, the company recently carried out a survey of its Easy-Radio users and had a fantastic response. The following are comments from real users. David Goadby of Pixel-Plus said: 'It's almost too easy to add radio using LPRS modules'. Marnix Pikkemaa, Binary Developmentt said: 'Radio links don't get any easier than this'. Jon Witte of Wiggly-Amps said: 'Sweet little modules that are a pleasure to use'. Mark Dworatzek of Dworatzek Consulting said: 'Very good product, it saved us a lot of time'. Peter Newbury of Sequoia Developments said 'Easy-Radio enabled us to get our prototype up in a matter of minutes'. Michael Denner from Dolby Labs said: 'ER900TS/RS exceeded expectations by far regarding range of signal and ease of use'. Gillibrand continues: 'In addition to these very positive comments, two out of three customers said they didn't need to use our technical support. This is unheard of in my experience of selling radio products and really seems to justify our confidence in Easy-Radio. Easy-Radio modules are available as transmitters, receivers and transceivers, operating in the unregulated 433MHz and 868-920MHz bands. All of the modules have onboard software available, which takes care of transmitter encoding and receiver decoding as well as RS232, TTL or whatever standard data the user wishes to input. A true data-in/ data-out, result is achieved. |
