Spread-spectrum devices aid condition monitoring

Nanotron has provided the wireless component for the first energy-independent condition monitoring system with wireless data transmission

At last month's Hanover Fair, Prueftechnik Condition Monitoring launched the first energy-independent condition monitoring system with wireless data transmission. Nanotron provided the wireless component of the jointly developed solution which uses chirp spread spectrum's (CSS) benefits: long range, high robustness and low power consumption. The Vibnode RFA offers flexible, compact vibration monitoring for fixed-speed rotating machines.

Industrial customers are freed from cabling and power supply issues, thereby saving up to 50% of costs.

Innovative harnessing of vibration energy combine with robust industrial-strength wireless and advanced measurement engineering to ensure quick, easy installation, making Vibnode RFA the firsthe Vibnode RFA solution includes monitoring modules, access points and Omnitrend, a visualisation, evaluation and archiving software.

Prueftechnik is a clear leader in condition monitoring, and Perpetuum is well-known for vibration energy harvesting innovation.

The collaboration of three industry-leaders ensures customers a best-in-class integrated solution.

Johann Loesl, Managing Director of Prueftechnik Condition Monitoring says: 'The reliability and energy-efficiency of Nanotron's CSS wireless technology allowed us to 'cut the cord,' even in harsh industrial environments'.

Nanotron's CEO Dr Jens Albers adds: 'We are excited to be part of this condition monitoring product offering by partnering with Prueftechnik and Perpetuum, two leading companies in their area of expertise'.

Nanotron is committed to open industry standards, and offers total solutions encompassing chips, RF modules, networking software, development tools and custom project support. of a new generation of condition monitoring
