Wireless link cuts cost of rail data acquisition

LogicaCMG has completed the initial implementation of its on-train axle bearing temperature management system for Flytoget, the Norwegian high speed train service. The system combines the owa22X family of products from Owasys with state of the art, reliable software matching all RAMS requirements. This guarantees an effective and reliable answer to the problems faced by train operators and infrastructure managers.

LogicaCMG chose the owa22A to avoid expensive hardware development costs and to reduce the time to market as the company does not need to continually test each component.
