Bluetooth device turns to access control

Introduced by RF Solutions, Bluelok provides simple and cost-effective access control in applications such as controlled entry doors and automated lighting. The new system is designed for use with Bluetooth enabled devices such as mobile phone handsets and PDAs. The system can be configured for use in one of two operating modes; in the first the Bluelok relay is pulsed when a recognised Bluetooth device comes within range.

The second mode is the same but with the additional requirement that an external pushbutton needs to be pressed in order for the relay to operate.

Housed in a compact 110 x 85 x 35mm enclosure with four lugs to allow easy fixing, Bluelok has an integral antenna that gives a range of approximately 10 metres.

External pushbutton and LED indicator connections are also provided.

Screw terminations facilitate straightforward installation, with an easy-learn facility allowing up to 128 Bluetooth device identifications to be stored.

Bluelok requires a 12V DC power supply and is FCC/CE/IC Class II Bluetooth certified
