Bluetooth and 802.11 coexistence schemes explained

White paper explains the problems of wireless coexistence and collocation and demonstrates how they can be tackled.With the growing success of both Bluetooth and 802.11, there is an increasing need for such products to coexist together, as they share the same radio spectrum. With both radios sharing the same spectrum, there is plenty of opportunity for interference, resulting in loss of data and increased power consumption.

This is of particular concern for companies using either of these short range technologies for M2M and embedded applications, where the integrity and reliability of the data signal is paramount.
